To import events data, you will need to prepare a CSV file in accordance with the requirements outlined in this article.
Before you get started
- Refer to Audience Republic's import data formatting requirements
- Attached is a template you can download for importing events data
How to prepare events data for import
1. Obtain events data
From most ticketing platforms, events data can be exported as a CSV file. You may need to adjust which fields are exported in order to match the required fields in Audience Republic (see below). Speak to your ticketing platform provider for more information on how to export your events data.
2. Required fields
Make sure that your file contains these mandatory fields:
- Event ID
- Event name
- Start date & time
- Venue / location
3. Optional fields
You can choose to include any of these optional fields:
- End date & time
- Total ticket allocation quantity / capacity
- Event Image URL
- Event URL
- Custom Fields
⚠️ We highly recommend that any data/columns within your report that do not match a mandatory or optional field listed above are removed before import.
4. Field formatting
Ensure that any fields included in the file adhere to the import data formatting requirements. You will likely need to reformat some fields to adhere, otherwise the import may not work.
5. File type
Make sure that the file is saved as a CSV (commas separated value) file. No other file type will be able to be imported.
