To import ticket sales data, you will need to prepare a CSV file in accordance with the requirements outlined in this article.
Before you get started
- Refer to Audience Republic's import data formatting requirements
- Attached is a template that you can download for importing ticket sales data
How to prepare ticket sales data for import
1. Obtain ticket sales data
From most ticketing platforms, ticket sales data can be exported as a CSV file. You may need to adjust which fields are exported in order to match the required fields in Audience Republic (see below). Speak to your ticketing platform provider for more information on how to export your ticket sales data.
2. Required fields
Make sure that your file contains these mandatory fields:
- Email address
- Total paid
- Quantity of tickets
- Order ID
- Event ID
- Venue
3. Optional fields
You can choose to include any of these optional fields:
- Ticket type
- Order created date/time
- Timezone
- Discount code used
- First name
- Last name
- Suburb
- State
- Country
- Zip/postcode
- Mobile
- Gender
- Date of Birth
- Custom Fields
It is recommended that you import as many of the optional fields as you have data for, in order to populate all graphs and enable filter capabilities.
⚠️ We highly recommend that any data/columns within your report that do not match a mandatory or optional field listed above are removed before import.
4. Field formatting
Ensure that any fields included in the file adhere to the import data formatting requirements. You will likely need to reformat some fields to adhere, otherwise, the import may not work.
5. File type
Make sure that the file is saved as a CSV (commas-separated value) file. No other file type will be able to be imported.
