Domain Authentication guide for users with DreamHost

Why Domain Authentication?

  • It verifies the email from its origin by validating the email sender.
  • Enhances your sender reputation, ensuring your emails don't land in the spam filter.
  • To avoid deliverability issues, complete domain authentication before sending your first email from Audience Republic.


Adding CNAME Records to your DreamHost account 

  • Log in to your DreamHost account
  • Navigate to the Manage Websites page.
  • Open the DNS Settings page:
    DNS Settings
  • If in Grid view, click the 'vertical 3 dots' button under your domain. From the popout menu, click the DNS Settings link.
  • If in List view, click the 'vertical 3 dots' button to the right of your domain. From the popout menu, click the DNS Settings link.
    The domain's DNS records display. Click the Add Record button
  • Hover over the CNAME Record section and click the ADD link

  • Click the Add Record button to save.

    Adding TXT (SPF) Records to your DreamHost account 
    • Open the DNS Settings page:

  •  click the DNS Settings link.

  • Click the Add Record button
  • Hover over the 

    TXT Record section and click the

    • Enter the following:
    • Host: sendgrid.net
    • TXT Value *: Enter the SPF record value of this record to point to
    Example:

    • Click Save
