How to reformat mobile numbers to include country codes

When importing mobile numbers into Audience Republic, the country codes in your import file must meet certain formatting requirements, or the import may not succeed. 

Before you get started

  • Make sure you have a CSV file with the contacts information included

Mobile number requirements

  • The cell format should be General or Text
  • Mobile numbers must include:
    - International country calling code
    Area code
    Phone number
  • Numbers and '+' symbol will be accepted
    Spaces and dashes will be ignored


How to reformat mobile numbers to include country codes

  • Open your excel CSV file
  • Add another column next to the Phone number column 
  • Write:  ="(country code) "&cell reference


  • Click on the cell formula, move the pointer to the bottom right corner so it turns into a   sign
  • Double click to auto-fill that formula all the way down
