To import contacts data, you will need to prepare a CSV file in accordance with the requirements outlined in this article.
Before you get started
- Refer to Audience Republic's import data formatting requirements
- Attached is a template you can download for importing contacts
How to prepare contacts data for import
1. Obtain contacts data
Obtain your contacts data from any sources outside of the Audience Republic platform.
2. Required fields
Make sure that your file contains these mandatory fields:
- Email address
3. Optional fields
You can choose to include any of these optional fields:
- First name
- Last name
- Gender
- City
- State
- Country
- Zip/postcode
- Date of birth
- Phone number (click here to access the mobile formatting guide)
- Tag(s)
It is recommended that you import as many of the optional fields as you have data for, in order to populate all graphs and enable filter capabilities.
⚠️ We highly recommend that any data/columns within your report that do not match a mandatory or optional field listed above are removed before import.
4. Field formatting
Ensure that any fields included in the file adhere to the import data formatting requirements. You will likely need to reformat some fields to adhere, otherwise the import may not work.
5. File type
Make sure that the file is saved as a CSV (commas separated value) file. No other file type will be able to be imported.
