Getting your contacts data into Audience Manager is simple.
If you already have a contact database in another system, you can import that database into Audience Manager. This will allow you to send messages, add tags and lists to your contacts, as well as see insights into how they're interacting with your campaigns.
Before you get started
- You must first prepare the CSV file to import (coma-separated value file format).
- Attached is a CSV template that you can download for importing contacts
How to import contacts to Audience Manager
- Navigate to the Audience menu
- Click the Import Contacts button in the top right corner
- Drag and drop the saved file into the drop box, or click to browse and upload the file from your saved location
- Map the fields to the corresponding column headings in your CSV file, then click continue.
- Optional: Add to list and Add Tags to the contacts.
- Click Import contacts (the time to import depends on the size of your file).
When the contacts have been successfully imported you will receive a confirmation email. The contacts will be then visible in the Audience menu.
⚠️ Warning: The file size limit cannot be over 100MB+
Custom Fields
- Please note: you won't be able to import data if you create custom fields that are copies of already-existing platform fields, such as "Gender," which is a duplicate of the "Gender" field.
