Our SMS messaging feature covers the United States, the United Kingdom, Asia, Europe, and Australia. Pricing is based on the mobile country code for each region. The cost of sending an SMS message varies depending on:
- The number of characters in the SMS
- How many recipients there are in the message list
- SMS message rates vary by country and are determined based on the mobile country code of the recipient. For example, if you're sending messages to recipients in different regions, such as the United Kingdom and the United States, the pricing will differ because each country has its own rate per SMS.
This means that:
- The cost per SMS will depend on the recipient's location, not the sender's.
- For instance, sending an SMS to a UK number may cost $0.05 per message, while sending to a US number might cost $0.02 per message.
- If you have a mixed audience from multiple regions in a single campaign, the total cost will be calculated based on the respective rates for each recipient's country.
- Special characters including " # % which have a higher cost
- Emojis: One emoji takes up two character counts
Price estimates are displayed when composing the SMS message.
- Please note: the price quotes are based on several variables, including segments, recipients, and message length.
- Billing for SMS occurs at the end of each month
SMS message character limit
A single SMS message can contain 160 characters. If your composed message exceeds 160 characters, additional messages will be charged and sent.
