To use campaign data for marketing lists, it's essential to ensure that you provide either your privacy policy so that all fans will be opted in, or provide the option for fans to Opt-in to SMS messages and Emails in your campaign.
Before you get started
- Make sure you have created a campaign
Adding your privacy policy for marketing opt-ins
Adding your privacy policy to your campaign means that all registrants are agreeing to be opted in to receive marketing messages and all can be added to your marketing list.
- Next to the Campaign, click ⋮ and Edit
- In Step 1: Set Up Campaign, scroll down to Advanced Settings
- Under Privacy and Compliance, insert your policy name and URL
- You have the option to tick SMS TCPA Notice and insert your policy's name
- Below is an example of how your privacy policy is displayed to fans when registering for your campaign:
Privacy Policy by Brands
If you have multiple Brands (such as an Artist, Promoter, and Sponsor), you can add a Privacy Policy to each Brand at Step 6. *Please note: this doesn't constitute the agreement for fans to opt-in*
- Next to Brand Name, click Add Privacy Policy
- Add the URL
- Click Save
- The Privacy Policy URL will appear at the bottom of each social channel
How to add the marketing opt-in options for SMS & Email
Registrants can explicitly agree to be opted-in to the email and/or SMS channel(s). Only those who agree to be opted-in can be added to your Email and/or SMS marketing lists.
- You can also add your privacy policy to the 'Custom Disclaimer' within the SMS and Email action channel.
- Next to the Campaign, click ⋮ and Edit
- Go to Step 6 in the campaign
- Click Enable on SMS and Email
- Optional: Click ⋮ Settings and add your privacy policy to the Custom disclaimer
- This is what fans will see if you've added your Privacy policy to the custom disclaimer:
- If you do not add a custom disclaimer, an automatic message will be created instead:
- This way, when a fan registers, they will then have the option to choose to Opt-in to receive SMS and Email alerts.
- Once the campaign has finished, you can add anyone who subscribed to a list for ongoing Marketing alerts.
- Also, if you export the data from the campaign you will see a column for SMS and Email Opt-in, ONLY those fans who are marked as TRUE should be added to the list for SMS / Email marketing.
