Before you get started
- Make sure you have created a signup form
- Ensure you have created genre tags
Genre tags for segmentation
Every time a fan generates an automation action (such as purchasing tickets to a show) relevant genre tag should be applied.
- You can see these as tags when filtering:
Genre preferences in the signup form & automation
There are a few steps to setup here:
- Create a new list for each of the genres that fans would subscribe to (such as a list for 'RnB', and another list for 'Hip Hop')
Update your signup form to include custom fields and tags for each of the genres
- Create an automation to subscribe fans to the relevant genre list, see the draft saved in automations
Below is an example of setting up this automation:
- 'Subscribes to list' (select the list that's in your signup form)
- 'If/Else with tag' (genre - RnB)
- True: 'Add to List' (genre - RnB)
- False: 'Tag' (genre - hip hop)
- 'Add to list' (genre - hip hop)
- Update the widget on your website to an embedded signup form and add the code to your website
