Learn the difference between 'Didn't open message' and 'Opened message - no message' in Filters.
Before you get started
- Make sure you have access to the Audience Manager
'Didn't Open message' vs 'Opened no message'
Didn't open Message - Any message: when applying this Filter, it will show the recipients who have received at least one message but did not open any messages. This will show fans who were recipients but did not open the Message.
Opened message - No message: Applying this filter will show fans who may never have been sent a message at all.
Best Filters for understanding your Audience Size
The most useful filter to use when figuring out how many people in your audience have received a message is "Total messages opened"
Message filters aren't updating
If you are having trouble with the message filters not updating or the email not sending due to this, please go back to the "Send To" section in your email and select the list again
- Then re-select the filters to force a refresh
