Alphanumeric & MMS in SMS Messaging

Before you get started

• Make sure you have access to the Messaging Menu and SMS messaging

How to send an Alphanumeric SMS message (Australia only)

Alphanumeric messages are a type of SMS message that uses a combination of letters and numbers to create a message. This type of message is often used for marketing campaigns, notifications, and alerts.

• Alphanumeric messages are available to clients based in Australia only

What you'll need for Alphanumeric SMS

• Please ask your Customer Success Manager for the Alpanumeric document to fill out
• You will also need to provide a copy of your ASIC registration
• And share your desired alphanumeric ID, 11 characters max

How to send an Alphanumeric SMS

• Once this has been processed by your Customer Success Manager, go to New Message
• Select SMS Message
• In the From section, insert either your Sender ID or Mobile number
• Click Save as draft or prepare to send the SMS message
  

• You will have the option to add Multiple Sender IDs (use the drop-down menu)
• Please contact your customer success manager to add more Sender IDs; there is a monthly fee associated with this.

• Once selected, click Send Message

MMS SMS message (available in US only)

MMS, or Multimedia Messaging Service, allows you to send multimedia content like pictures, videos, and audio clips.

*Please note that MMS is available to clients based in the US only.

• MMS messages will only be sent to US recipients - it should filter out anyone from any other geographic
• Images must be less than 4MB
• MMS messages are charged at 6c per recipient

What you'll need for MMS

• You must have a subaccount set up by your Customer Success Manager

How to send an MMS SMS 

• Once this has been set up, go to New Message
• SMS Message
• Scroll to the MMS Image section, and insert your image (it must be less than 5mb, recommended aspect 640 x 1138 px)

• Click Save as draft 
• Or 'Agree to receive and pay', then click send the SMS message
