Send a message to specific segments

When sending an email or SMS message, you can use filters to send your message to a specific segment.

Before you get started

  • First, create and save a segment in Audience Manager

How to send a message to specific segments



  • When creating or editing an email or SMS message, first select a list from the dropdown menu labelled 'To'
  • Then, click the Filter button next to the recipient list:



  • A side panel will appear on the right. Click Add filter:



  • Select Segment from the list:



  • Select your desired segment by ticking the checkbox next to it, then click Apply filter




Message filters aren't updating

If you are having trouble with the message filters not updating or the email not sending due to this, please go back to the "Send To" section in your email and select the list again

  • Then re-select the filters to force a refresh
