Before you get started
- Make sure you have access to the Messaging Menu and Audience Manager.
- Ensure you have created a Masterlist that contains all of your contacts
How to consolidate lists using the Filters
1. Create a new list per brand
- Navigate to the Messaging menu
- Click on the Lists tab
- Then click Create list
- Enter the list's name. Note that your list name is visible to your recipients if they manage their unsubscribe preferences. Make sure to choose an appropriate, public-facing name for your list.
- Select the channel(s) for this list. If email is selected, choose the email address from the drop down menu (or add a new one).
- Click Save List. The new list will appear under the List tab.
2. Use the Audience filters to consolidate your lists
- Go to the Audience Manager Filters
- Select Subscribed to List
- Select the lists you would like to consolidate
- Click Apply Filter
- Click Save Segment to consolidate the lists:
- Name your saved Segment
3. Send a message to the contacts in the Segment created
- Go to Messaging Menu
- Open the email that you want to send to the contacts in those lists
- Select your Masterlist (which contains all contacts who have opted-in to marketing in your database)
- Click Filter
- Select the Segment you created beforehand
- Apply Filter
- The message will now be sent to all contacts in the selected Segment that contained the consolidated lists:
